Job Summary

NorthCrest Specialty Care (formerly Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center), is now hiring caring and compassionate CNAs with strong work ethic to join our team at our beautiful new state of the art facility.  Full and part-time positions available on 2nd & 3rd shifts with sign on bonus.  Must be certified prior to hire to be eligible for sign-on bonus. 

Care Initiatives continues to enhance our benefits package for our employees.  Vacation is now awarded at six months employment and a discount package for cell phone services is available through Verizon.  In addition, employees are rewarded for their commitment to providing outstanding quality care with a generous anniversary bonus ranging $500 - $2000 each year based on years of service. Both full and part-time employees in good standing are eligible.

We invest in our CNAs professional development by providing NAHCA (National Association of Health Care Assistants) membership benefits. NAHCA’s mission is to support CNAs and elevate their professional standing and performance through recognition, advocacy, education and empowerment.  NAHCA members may utilize the Virtual Campus of Care featuring built in incentives to reward CNAs investing time in their professional development.  NAHCA’s Virtual Campus of Care (NVCC) offers four curriculum levels to earn specialized distinctions & certifications.  As encouragement, Care Initiatives proudly offers incentive pay for each level completed.    

NorthCrest Specialty Care in Waterloo is owned and operated by Care Initiatives, Iowa’s largest not-for-profit senior care providers with more than 50 locations throughout Iowa.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/License
- Current, valid Iowa Nursing Assistant Certification, as evidenced by listing on Iowa's Nurse Aide Registry or documentation of successful completion of competency and skills tests from an approved testing agency.

Skills/Abilities
- Functional literacy in written and spoken English.
- Proficient interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Complete assignments timely, completely and accurately.
